Family Pictures

Well like I said in a earlier post we had our family pictures done this past Saturday. It was fun! That is of course once we were actually getting our pictures taken. But first a big thanks to Megan Holdsworth for doing our pictures!!! It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to see them!!! Yipee!! For those of you who don't know who Megan is here are her websites: http://www.holdsworthphotography.com/ and http://www.megaphotoblog.blogspot.com/. Check her out she is awesome!
**Update.....Megan posted on her blog a few sample pictures of our session. Check them out on megaphotoblog.blogspot.com ****

Ok so back to our pictures. So I scheduled our pictures back in February I think. You would have thought that I would have been way prepared for this day, but NOOOOO! I didn't pick outfits until the day before...and I still made changes up until we got out of the car and I asked Megan if the dress that Riley had on was ok. So I originally wanted to do black and denim because of a certain pair of shoes that I wanted to wear. But no one had black!!!! It was weird!!!! So then Megan suggested we do Red and denim....and then that turned to red and denim and then I switched to a more wine color because of the colors in my living room. Then I was going to do wine, black, and denim. Then wine, black and kahki. SO finally after visiting Target, Kohls, Mervyns, JC Penny, Dillards, Sears, Marshall's, Ross, Children's Place, Old Navy, and visiting more websites.....we ended up with Wine, Chocolate and Kahki. Yeah! So it was hard to find stuff for the girls just in chocolate because everyone has it paired with aqua or pink, but I didn't want that. But I figured it out. Also Taylor went barefoot because I couldn't find any cute little brown sandals....too bad i didn't need silver glitter ones, or pink plaid ones because there were plenty of those...but no brown sandals! I did borrow some from Angie...but they were a little big and she just kept trying to take them off.....so we just did take them off!

But once we were at the acutal location taking pictures it was fun. Riley only had two really small shy moments, but Megan did a great job getting her to just calm down and have fun. Hunter of course was a ham and wanted to be in all of the pictures. Paul was a good sport and even kissed me during the photo shoot. Even Taylor was a cutie and smiled! So now the only problem will be me!!! Let's hope for the best!

Thanks again Megan!!!

Wizard Swears

Ok....I'm not really a youtube fanatic. But a few months ago my sister showed me this Potter Puppet Pals video and it was hilarious. While we were in Hawaii some of the Choralairs and I started talking about "The Mysterious Ticking Noise" and how hilarious it is. So one of the girls said we needed to watch "Wizard Swears." So Stephenie and I did. And IT IS HILARIOUS!!!! Ok now I guess you might have to be in the mood for it...or maybe it was because I was with a bunch of high school kids...I don't know. But I thought it was soo funny. So one day when you're bored watch Wizard Swears on youtube. But if you're not a big Harry Potter fan it probably won't be very exciting to you...and just pretend you're 17 years old again for it!

Where did Saturday and Sunday Go?

So as you know I read "Twilight" while in Hawaii. I loved it! So this past Saturday I borrowed books 2 & 3 from Angie. Well Saturday we were going to take our Family Pictures so I couldn't start the books just quite yet. Arghhh.... So finally after picutres (which I'll talk about in a second) and after dinner and after putting the kiddos to bed I was able to start my book. Ok I actually started it during dinner which was about at 8:00pm. Sooooo I went to bed at 2:00am when I FINISHED the book!!!! Ok and holy cow I love Edward!!! Why can't I Love a vampire!!! So then on Sunday, I wasn't feeling very well and I ended up falling asleep and didn't go to church. Edna thinks it was the Weinerschtnizel that made me sick...but I don't know. So I stayed home with Taylor and Paul took Hunter and Riley to church. So I slept a little more and took some medicine to help me feel better. So I of course started the third book, but then my family came home! Blasted! And then I had to teach someone a song...and then dinner! DOUBLE BLASTED! So I finally got to start reading again.....once i put the kiddos to bed. And again I went to bed at 2:15am when I FINISHED the book! So I have nothing to show for those 30 hours of my life! But I know that I love Edward...I want to be a vampire as much as Bella does....I need a silver volvo..... Why can't Paul be Edward....... ok not really, but you know! Anyways.... I'm a dork! Sorry!

***I just want everyone to know that I truly Love Paul...he may not be a vampire but I still love him and am very grateful for all he does for me.....I love you!

I can't believe I'm admitting this....

I've done it...I can't believe that I finally did this. I'm almost ashmed of myself.....I read "Twilight!" Now first let me say that I LOVED the book! I've had the book in my posession for about a year and a half and I just never read it. First of all -- vampires??? I mean come on! And second of all I didn't want to jump on the bandwagon! And thirdly - I'm not allowed to read unless I have certain things in order in my life and I was not there yet!!! (I'm not kidding when I say I'm not allowed to read.....I ignore EVERYONE and EVERYTHING while I read so I have to make sure I have certain things done before I disappear for a couple of days!)

Ok so as I was packing for Hawaii I saw the "Twilight" book in my office and I was like "ok I'll take it in case I have time to read..or while I'm tanning on the beach" So yeah in my "spare" time in Hawaii...I read the whole book!!!!! There was no spare time....but I somehow managed to read it ALL!!!! My students couldn't believe that I started and finished a book!

It was soooo good.. And hello...I want to be a vampire.....or at least love a vampire.....I know.... what if Harry Potter was as vampire!!!! Holy Cow....OVERLOAD!!!!!!!! So luckily my April isn't as jam-packed as March and February were so I may have to start the next book...I only hope it is as good as the first! So I jumped on the bandwagon.....anyone else care to join!?!?!?

Paul loves flowers more than me

Ok so I hate to go places with Paul that have nice landscaping. He loves nice landscaping....like makes him mad/jealous to see nice landscaping and he can't have it. Now I think he does a great job keeping our grass green and our flowers growing, but he is never content. It's a never ending story with him and with our front and back yards. I just say "whatever." For instance, I hate going to Disneyland with him because he wants our flower beds to look like theirs. I don't like going to the Temple Grounds because of the same reason. Actually California in general sucks because they can grow pretty much anything there like weeds. So it was no different in Hawaii. Paul's newest obsession lately has been the Plumeria tree. Well in Yuma its mostly a dwarf tree maybe 5 or 6 feet tall is all. Our neighbor has one of the bigger ones we've seen in yuma, and I have to convince paul daily not to go over there and chop it down (ok not really, but you know!) So of course the first thing we see when we get to Hawaii are plumeria trees. Ok the airport is full of them. And when I say Plumeria Trees I mean TREES! 25 - 30 foot trees! PAUL IS ANGRY!!! So that's what I got to hear the whole week in Hawaii! Blah Blah Blah! So I took this picture for him at the temple grounds of a hibiscus flower. They are huge. Also something he would love to grow here! But I still love him....even though he loves flowers more than me!

We're Back.....

Ok so Paul and I are back from Hawaii. We got back on Wednesday at 5:00 am. I thought I wasnt' going to be that jet-lagged, but I have slept so much the last 4 days...its ridiculous. We had a great time though. Paul got to play 2 rounds of golf. We got tanned! Yipee!!! We got seasick! Not fun! But it was a great trip. Paul of course would have preferred it if we hadn't gone with the Choralairs, but oh well! We definitely would love to go back and visit some of the other islands as well. So now its back to life, back to reality (anyone else have the song in their heads?)
